Merry Christmas

We had an amazing Christmas! This photo was taken Christmas Eve, when we returned home from the Christmas Eve service where Kierstan was an acolyte. She did an amazing job lighting each Christmas light and starting the lighting of the candles for Silent Night. She was absolutely beautiful and we were so proud of her for honoring God by honoring His son's birth.

The kids woke up early on Christmas morning and came down stairs to a beautifully lit up Christmas Tree with half eaten Christmas cookies. They read their Santa letters and opened their presents. I loved just sitting back and watching all the magic and excitement in their eyes.

After the gifts were opened we got dressed and headed over to Nana and Gramps' house to have a Christmas meal and spend some time with Grandma, Heather, Cris, Justin and Hannah. We listened to Nana's always enjoyable Christmas poem, and went on the adventurous scavenger hunt. It was a blast! We love you to the moon and back!

We woke up early the next morning and headed to White Bluff to spend the day with Dee-Dee and Grandpa, and of course, Jack-Dog. It started with decorating the Christmas tree with Dee-Dee and then opening some wonderful and thoughtful gifts. We had a wonderful Christmas meal (yummy stuffing), and just spent time together.

A Great Coach sitting next to a Legendary Coach!

John and I had the great honor of getting to spend a little over an hour with Coach John Wooden. It was amazing! He eats one scrambled egg, two pieces of bacon extra crispy, toasted english muffins, and a small orange juice. I got to hand him a packet of strawberry jelly. :) He told us stories of how he came to be at UCLA and about the love of his life. He made you feel so comfortable sitting with him. Can you believe he just turned 98?

Our Little Man

Here is Jacksman! He is into everything that has to do with sports or running around. He is like the energizer bunny...keeps going and going and going. Jackson just turned four last month and says that next year he wants to be in Mrs. Poke's class (Pope-Madeline's teacher). Little does he know he still has two years before he can start Kindergarten :(

He loves trains and cars and spiderman.

Our Ballerina!

Yes, this is our Madeline! She is starting to come out of her shell. She has started a ballet class and is just remarkable. She picks up so quickly on the new steps in class.

This is her first year in school (Kindergarten), and she has the best teacher in the world, Mrs. Pope. She has made straight E's in everything and making lots of new friends.

She just had her Christmas Kindergarten Tea, and looked like an angel in her new Christmas outfit (from Nana and Gramps)

Our Number 7!

This is Kierstan's first year on a Select soccer team. It was a real eye opener. The team didn't turn out a winning season (first team she was on that didn't), but we couldn't have prayed for a better group of girls. She has so much fun with the team, and has good relationships with each of them. We hope with that bond as a team that that will improve the teams record in the spring. She had two goals this season and some beautiful assists. She will be playing in a Jan.-Feb. indoor league.

Kierstan is in 5th grade this year and is doing great. Almost all A's the first two six weeks. Her homeroom teacher is Mrs. Menzie.

First Blog

It seems as though everyone is Blogging, so I figured I would get on board. I know so many of you are wondering Where are they? What are they doing? Why haven't I heard from them in a while? Well maybe this will keep us more involved.
